Li Dao, also known as '''The Fire Dragon''', '''Master of the Burning Winds''' and '''Lord of the Phoenix''' is one of the Dragons who rules over [[Cathay]] and is the son of [[The Dragon Emperor]] and The Moon Empress.

He is largely in charge of running the Southern Provinces of the empire, which compared to the wealthy trade ports of the East, the bountiful breadbasket of the Center and the industrial hub and Great Bastion in the north, is largely a backwater comprised mostly of small towns and villages surrounded by rolling foothills. The only big city of note if Fu-Hung where Li Dao rules and a large collection of temples. He has three main jobs in the south, to protect the Southern Border from the Naggas of Kuresh and Ind, to keep the Monkey King in check and make sure he doesn't try to take over the country again, and to watch over the monks at the Phoenix Temple to make sure that their worship follows Cathay's anti religion doctrines.

He is the most militaristic and dictatorial in his rule compared to his siblings, largely because due to having a the smallest natural barriers of the Cathayan borders aside from the Mountains of Heaven (The East has the sea, the West has the Mountains of Mourne and the Warpstone Desert and the North has the Bastion) it's the easiest of the borders for invaders to attack from. This means aside from [[Miao Ying]] he's doing the most fighting for the sake of the country, constantly trying to fight off any furries or scalies that think about hoping the border and moving further inland. The situation sometimes gets so bad that he has to team up with the Monkey King from the Mountains of Heaven, who usually takes the chance to be as much of an annoying little shit as possible.

This makes him extremely bitter towards his sister Miao Ying, who constantly gets praise and attention from their father for defending the North while he views his job as just as hard if not harder. Family get together usually result in him screaming "I DO THE EXACT SAME SHIT SHE DOES AND I DON'T HAVE A GIANT FUCK OFF WALL TO HELP ME!" while Miao laughs in a corner. The constant stress of being stuck in the middle of nowhere with a thankless job defending the southern border 24/7, having to deal with the annoying overgrown ape the most out of all of his siblings and constantly being overshadowed by his big sister has resulted in him having a horrible temper to the point where [[Angron]] is suggesting that he relax a little bit. Given that he is also a master fire mage means that when he does get mad someone or something is likely getting incinerated to ashes. He likely dreams of the day where he is the one in the spotlight and where he would never have to deal with another animal human creature ever again.
