== Basics == *'''Campaign:''' [[Campaign:Autobot_Game|Autobot Game]] *'''Name:''' Ever-Shifting Gears / Implicit Functionality of Rest *'''Concept:''' Bighearted spy. *'''Caste/Aspect:''' Totally Not Adamant. (It's Adamant.) *'''Motivation:''' To make sure that the Locust Crusade doesn't destroy creation, or itself. *'''Positive intimacies:''' Domadamod. His Vat(And it's attendants). His false image. *'''Negative intimacies:''' *'''Anima:''' He usually tries his hardest to keep his anima from flaring, for it is hard to mistake the mark of the Adamant for another. In the unfortunate event his banner cannot be suppressed - or is indeed necessary, it takes the form of three Adamant-Caste Style cogs grinding against one another in an ever-shifting triangle. *'''Experience:''' 30/30 === Background === Ever-Shifting Gears is very, very young for an Alchemical Exalted. He was commissioned by Domadamod the instant the news was received that the premiere meetings to decide whether the Locust Crusade should occur had begun. Luckily he took to training very quickly. He had finished his initial training as an Adamant Caste, and learned of course that he needed to work in absolute secrecy to obtain a position of power without revealing that the Adamant Caste did, indeed, exist. It was arranged so that he was subtly placed into a Moonsilver Caste vat that was part of a still-in-production assembly. He emerged, using his Husk-Sculpting Apparatus to appear as one of the Mirrorblades - quite effectively at that. He took the name Implicit Functionality of Rest, from his own reverence of the importance that the Moonsilvers played in society. He did his best to integrate well into proper Autochtonian society, and properly obtained a class rating befitting an exalt. When, not long after, the Locust Crusade was announced, he asked - politely of course, to be allowed to go. He was accepted. It was then that he returned home, to Domadamod to receive his instructions for the war. He was told that he needed to be SURE that the Crusade was not too destructive to Creation as a whole. After all - they needed Creation to survive if they were to return again for more supplies. He accepted this mission, along with two presents from Domadamod. He returned to service, and to the waiting Crusade.. with an additional goal in mind. He had to be CERTAIN that each soulgem of his brethern Exalted made it back. He just hoped Domadamod hadn't forgotten to have his Vat moved! === Appearance === Ever-Shifting Gears adamant form is well-honed, and lithe. He looks rather handsome, for a man made of metal. He brooks no stylish, artificial hair atop his skull - leaving only room for a few outward expressions of essence in lines paralleling the curves of his ears. Due to his rather prodigious strength and dexterity, he does not look overtly muscular or lithe, rather landing in-between with a sort of perfect form athleticism. He is rather kindhearted for an alchemical, but this may be due to his rather young age. When he is forced to throw subterfuge to the wind to end a threat to Autochtonia, the Crusade, or Creation, the truth of his body can often give way underneath his disguises. He moves more directly, and with a far greater sense of purpose. It is unfortunate that very few will ever see him in his natural state. Normally, he chooses to be seen as a Moonsilver Caste. He chose to emulate them at the suggestion of his master Domadamod, since they are already known for their subterfuge and stealth. It would be less likely for him to draw attention to his actions, since they are often already known for being strange and subtle. When appearing as a Moonsilver using his Husk-Sculpting Apparatus, first he crafts some hair into a simple, small fan at the back of his head. He shifts his form so it appears even more smooth than normal, and changed the sleek appearance of his Adamant body to more closely resemble fragmented-but-entwined tendrils of wispy Moonsilver. In accordance with his name, while acting as Implicit Functionality of Rest, he often expounds the virtues of still being useful when you rest - or when your rest ends. He feigns a bit of laziness and often (attempts) to speak in riddles to deflect further conversation.
