=== Background ===
Born Safiya Wambui to a family in the East, she grew up around and serving the Dragonblooded from birth like her parents. However, unlike her parents, she was always unhappy with her position, and constantly sought ways to lower others to her level - with tricks, pranks, and jokes. Her behavior was innocent enough at first, but when people started catching on to her true nature, she took it as a challenge. Her pranks culminated in a final trick, convincing a higher-bred youth into diving into the nearby river after a "lost" heirloom. When the youth didn't surface, she went in after at the risk of her own life, bringing the boy up safely before losing herself in the current.

She washed up far from home, and after spending days wandering the woods repenting her cruel tricks, Luna not only visited her, but granted her Exaltation. Soon, she was taken in by a wandering pack, put through her trials, tattooed, and sent to work under a Mentor. They had a friendly work ethic about socializing, wheeling and dealing, and Safiya, now Leaf-Colored Shadow, managed to get her Mentor to let her try her own hand at it. She came back to her home as Elina, an honest girl looking for honest servant work, weaseling her way into the hearts of her employers, as well as their pockets. 

It didn't take long for the news of Fokuf's assassination to reach her satrap. She quickly closed a deal that would end with her in the Realm, taking a position as a prominent servant to further the Silver Pact's hold on the Realm - that, or just pull off the biggest trick she'd ever been able to plan for.

=== Appearance ===
Young, comfortably short and always up on the latest fashion, Safiya never lacks for presence or confidence. She wears her ridiculously long green hair in whatever style is most popular at the time, and if she doesn't know the current trend, she puts them in ever-popular twin ponytails. She prefers the loose robes and comfortable fit of common servant clothing, but she spices it up with what jewelry she can steal or afford, passing herself off as slightly more privileged than her "fellows". Her skin is peachy, her eyes are moss-green, and her smile is that of a practiced trickster.
