===The Least Evil Undead=== The chief thing to understand about the Court is that they're not exactly undead in the traditional sense. While they are indeed dead, the members of the Court are not resurrected by any means but are instead placed in a manifest zone (A place with a strong connection to another plane) to the Plane of Positive Energy. This turns anyone inside them into not-quite undead called the Deathless. This allows the honored ancestors to still talk to their descendants and guide them. This is best shown in Aerenal's capital, Shae Mordai, where the ruling council is entirely comprised of Deathless elves. It should also be known that the Court is decentralized; though the council of Shae Mordai govern the whole government, there are other courts comprised of the countless noble lineages and families throughout elven history. From there, just imagine all the courtly politics and all their intermarriage and scandals and whatnot, only now the grudges each house has can last beyond death. The Court's generally dismissive of all the other faiths, considering each to be just a flight of fancy with little understanding of what happens after death. Conversely, the Court sees the [[Blood of Vol]] as a bastardization of their preservation, their claims that all humans are inherently divine an absurdity, and the undead this results in as monstrosities. Naturally, this means that devotees of the court spend their time hunting down and destroying the undead.
