==History==
Bai'chea's family has never been truly wealthy, a branch family of a Great House that is now gone.  Despite the family being known as not exactly favorable breeding stock, they have also been known for being charming and witting enough to at least be taken for lovers, or consorts at times, enough that often little favors were granted to them, so they did not live in poverty.  One excellent example came two generations before Bai'chea, her grandmother Vibrant Sparrow, a grand and popular beauty who was able to marry a wealthy patrician merchant, and mothered a Dragonblooded adopted by Peleps among her children.<br>
A child born of one of Sparrow's unExalted sons, Bai'chea was known as one who would not last long, and so was often ignored by her family.  Sparrow definitely doted on her granddaughter out of pride; the girl looked like a pale version of her granddame, and so was often at her grandmother's side when she was not at primary school.  Unfortunately, she did not go onto secondary school, partly due to the fact that she was a mortal from a non-exactly-rich family, but also due to grief.  Vibrant Sparrow died when Bai'chea was 14 years old.  However, at her grandmother's funeral, an old friend of her grandmother's noticed the grieving teenager and took her under his wing, the Senator Peleps Danic Gican.  Under his tutelage and assistance, Bai'chea received an education better than the schools, and made connections fit for a Dynast.  By the time she was in her early 20s, there was no social difference in between her and others who had attended the Spiral Academy.<br>
Finally, the young woman approached her friend with a request.  He had taught her well, yet there was no place she could put her skills to the fullest use, as suck abilities deserved with such an education.  She had heard that there was a seat in the Lesser Chamber, and as he was a member of the Greater Chamber...  Gican quietly answered that he would see what he could do for his good friend.  Weeks later, the young woman found herself on the shores of the Isle, sitting in a small isolated cove where no one could see her, where she could weep or cheer the letter she had just received.  She fully expected a rejection, as while she was one of the best candidates for the job, she was still a patrician.  The woman opened the letter, and heard a whisper in her ear as the sun set.<br>

It was then Bai'chea realized warmth was in her limbs, and to her horror, she was glowing.  She went to her sword, sure that something had possessed her, something that she suspected she would have to end her life to stop.  Yet... nothing came in her heart, she felt only better, not maddened.  The woman left as the glow and the mark faded away, not saying a word of the incident, but ready to do what she could as a demon to help her beloved Realm.<br>
