=== Background === The man who would become Bolt of the Everdark was a simple man amongst the people of the Haslanti League. He was a hunter by trade and lived alone. But as time passed he found another source of income, instead of hunting animals, he took up hunting people. It paid well, and he soon moved to "bigger" prey, in the larger cities. Until one day an old man came to him and offered a substantial payment for the hide of a travelling priest. And soon at midday on the road he found his mark travelling along with what looked like a gold shod staff. from his hidden position he took aim and drew back... and then the priest burst into golden flames covering his body with a mark shining gold on his head as he lifted and strung the bow he disguised as a staff in an instant. Raising his hands feebly against the onslaught of light, bolt after glowing bolt stuck his body shredding the feeble protection of his hands and piercing him again and again. And thus he fell in the snow and lay dying. And there he lay on the edge of mortality for hour after agonizing hour, cursing his murderer, and boiling with hatred. Then as night fell and snow began to fall, the old man came up to him and told him "So you failed, what I feared had already come to pass. Still, you aren't quite dead are you? Tell me would you like a chance for revenge? If you could would you pull down everything you knew and dance on the ashes? I can grant you the first if you will accept doing the second." And with his last breath the man gasped agreement, and died on that field. But he who is Bolt of the Everdark walked away to bring terror to the living, and destruction to his foes. -Additional Note-
