= Terrain Crates = 

Mantic is also notable for their Terrain Crate system, a series of interlocking plastic battlefield scenery and incidental furnishing kits.  The quality is decent but not spectacular, price is fair but not as compelling as their minis (for example, GW and Mantic both currently want around 80 bucks for a landing pad but Mantic's is larger) and the designs lend themselves more toward RPGs and skirmish games like [[Infinity (wargame)|Infinity]] than large scale battles. It's still a big step up from the lasercut MDF and cardstock that most other vendors have on offer, and their selection is much better and more consistent than GW's rotating carousel of FOMO bait, so anyone who wants to go beyond re-enacting the famous Battle Of The Old College Textbook would do well to at least be aware of what they have.  

Really, though, this is the sort of stuff you should be using with Infinity because pairing Corvus Belli's jaw-droppingly beautiful miniatures with glorified cardboard boxes is a crime against nature.
