* '''The Defiled Maw of Pasiap''' In the sacking of thorns, he only managed to get the killing blow on a single Dragonblooded exalt, an earth caste who attempted to stop him and his comrades at the gates. Once the battle died down and Thorns was theirs, Phoenix took the man's lower jaw for his own. He took it, and singed it black over a fire lit by the earth caste's comrades bodies. Once it was charred black, he soaked it in the blood of some of the 'innocent' plain citizens of Thorns, letting it stain the cracked black surface of the burnt bone. And last but not least, while he and his compatriots spent the next two years getting the new Thorns in working order, he left it.. under the ground. He dug a little hole where he knew only he would find it, and left the black-and-red bone in the soil of the grand new Shadowland his master had crafted. He retrieved it one year and one day later, and set it over his own jawline. He used the many bandages which wrapped his face to pin it there, tightly, but not so much as to make it hard to see.
