Ultimately, Bolas attacks [[Ravnica]] with his army of lazotep-armored mummified uber-warriors and starts wrecking shit. A veritable army of planeswalkers shows up to try and fight him, and even Niv-Mizzet, the most powerful dragon on Ravnica, gets involved in the fray. In the end, they finally beat him down and seemingly kill him...

But in reality, [[Jace Beleren]] was contacted by [[Ugin]] before the deathblow and persuaded that if Bolas is killed, he'll just find a way to come back again. So instead Jace uses illusions to make everyone think Bolas is killed, when instead Ugin drags Bolas into his meditation plane, rips out his Spark, and seals the plane off so he'll be trapped there, weak and helpless, for all eternity with only his wits <strike>and ability that allows him to shatter the minds of any being he touches with but a caress to aid him.</strike> (We get it, he's a mind mage, it's not ''that'' impressive)
