==13th Age's Chaos Mage== [[13th Age]] introduced the '''Chaos Mage''' as a class in the ''13 True Ways'' splat, but its intent is very plainly to recreate the Wild Mage, and as such they're as weedy as a normal Wizard. Perhaps the most blatant example is the "High Weirdness" feature, which triggers a d100 table of fuckery in any instance where an enemy scores a critical hit against the Chaos Mage - alongside some other triggers via certain feats and class talents - The effects are all manners of wacky, with a good chunk of them even potentially helping the mage and their party. Adding onto this randomness is their spell list. See, unlike a normal class, the Chaos Mage has three different lists of spells (Offense, Defense, and a third list based on the icons, and you have to roll a d12 to determine whose spells you get to use) from which they can randomly generate a spell to use each turn, and this also extends to the spells stolen from other classes via class talents. While "officially" Pelgrane recommends the idea of a grab-bag with colored rocks to determine which spells you can pick from, you could also roll a d6 - whichever way you roll it, it's a considerable enough hassle that most tables just straight-up ban the Chaos Mage to spare both player and GM from the constant rolling.
