Spineroots are common in the Desert and the Great Northern Savannah.

Spineroots reproduce when they die, drying out and turning into large beachball-sized thorny tumbleweeds that are covered with seedlings. As the tumbleweed is blown across the land, seeds are shaken or knocked off, taking root where they land.
