'''Astonishing Swordsmen & Sorcerers of Hyperborea''' is an [[Advanced Dungeons & Dragons]] [[Sword & Sorcery]] [[Retroclone]] published by ''North Wind Adventures''.  It takes a lot of inspiration from [[Robert Howard]], [[H.P. Lovecraft]], and [[Clark Ashton Smith]].  Currently on its third edition, which was renamed '''Hyperborea'''.

Notable for mostly sticking to the [[Fighter]]/[[Thief]]/[[Wizard]]/[[Cleric]] classes but giving each a bunch of subclasses to allow for parties to differentiate themselves.  Which is good, because humans are the '''only''' playable race, with cultures based on the old Conan stories: Kimmerians, Picts, Stygians, etc.
