{{delete|A character sheet that has not been updated in ten years, for a campaign that is clearly not being played anymore}} == Basics == *'''Campaign:'''[[Campaign:The Black Parade|The Black Parade]] *'''Name:''' Bolt of the Everdark *'''Concept:''' Bitter Sniper *'''Caste/Aspect:''' Midnight *'''Motivation:''' Revenge on his killer *'''Positive intimacies:''' *'''Negative intimacies:''' *'''Anima:''' *'''Experience:''' / ''(write experience points as "unspent / total" plx)'' === Background === The man who would become Bolt of the Everdark was a simple man amongst the people of the Haslanti League. He was a hunter by trade and lived alone. But as time passed he found another source of income, instead of hunting animals, he took up hunting people. It paid well, and he soon moved to "bigger" prey, in the larger cities. Until one day an old man came to him and offered a substantial payment for the hide of a travelling priest. And soon at midday on the road he found his mark travelling along with what looked like a gold shod staff. from his hidden position he took aim and drew back... and then the priest burst into golden flames covering his body with a mark shining gold on his head as he lifted and strung the bow he disguised as a staff in an instant. Raising his hands feebly against the onslaught of light, bolt after glowing bolt stuck his body shredding the feeble protection of his hands and piercing him again and again. And thus he fell in the snow and lay dying. And there he lay on the edge of mortality for hour after agonizing hour, cursing his murderer, and boiling with hatred. Then as night fell and snow began to fall, the old man came up to him and told him "So you failed, what I feared had already come to pass. Still, you aren't quite dead are you? Tell me would you like a chance for revenge? If you could would you pull down everything you knew and dance on the ashes? I can grant you the first if you will accept doing the second." And with his last breath the man gasped agreement, and died on that field. But he who is Bolt of the Everdark walked away to bring terror to the living, and destruction to his foes. -Additional Note- === Appearance === ''(what other people see when they look at your character.)'' == Attributes == Strength βββ Charisma ββββ Perception ββββ Dexterity βββββ Manipulation ββββ Intelligence β Stamina ββ Appearance Wits ββ == Abilities == ''Solar/Abyssal Block'' '''Archery''' βββββ '''Integrity''' * Craft * '''Athletics''' βββ Bureaucracy * Martial Arts β '''Performance''' * '''Investigation''' β '''Awareness''' βββ Linguistics β Melee * '''Presence''' βββ Lore β Dodge βββ Ride * Thrown * '''Resistance''' βββββ Medicine * Larceny βββ Sail * War * '''Survival''' * Occult * '''Stealth''' βββ Socialize * Languages: SkyTongue, Rivertongue === Specialties === ''(Write here your specialties, if any)'' == Backgrounds == Background 1: β Background 2: β Background 3: β == Charms == *'''FIRST ARCHERY EXCELLENCY'''
1m per 1 die up to attribute + Ability *'''PULSE OF THE PREY''' Cost: 3m or 5m; Mins: Archery 4, Essence 1;
Type: Supplemental
Keywords: Combo-OK, Mirror (There is No Wind; Exalted, p. 187)
Duration: Instant
Prerequisite Charms: Any Archery Excellency
No distraction can keep an Abyssal from his quarry. His attacks unnaturally twist in flight with a predatory hunger of their own to find their mark, negating all penalties except wound and multiple-action penalties.
*'''WITHERING FEATHERED MAELSTROM''' Cost: 2m or 4m per attack; Mins: Archery 3, Essence 2;
Type: Extra Action
Keywords: Combo-OK, Mirror (Trance of Unhesitating Speed; Exalted, p. 187), Obvious
Duration: Instant
Prerequisite Charms: Any Archery Excellency
His fingers an unnatural blur of motion, the Abyssal draws and fires a barrage from his weapon.
*'''DOOM DRAWN AND IMMINENT''' Cost: 3m Mins: Archery 3, Essence 2; Type: Reflexive
Keywords: Combo-Basic, Emotion, Mirror (Flashing Vengeance Draw; Exalted, p. 188)
Duration: Instant
Prerequisite Charms: Withering Feathered Maelstrom
When an Abyssal archer draws his weapon, panic ensues. Death is coming, its cold fist tight on the hearts of those who might be prey. Activating this Charm instantly draws and loads an Archery weapon the deathknight has available, either on his person or banished Elsewhere via Banished Bow Arsenal (see p. 124). More importantly, if this Charm is used during a Join Battle action, all other combatants who beat the Abyssalβs playerβs roll feel overwhelming dread at the thought of initiating hostilities against the suddenly armed deathknight. As a result, they suffer an internal penalty equal to the Abyssalβs Archery rating on all attacks directed against the deathknight until he takes his first action. Any attacker willing to reflexively spend three Willpower can end the Charmβs unnatural mental influence over her (gaining Limit or Resonance if appropriate), allowing her to attack the Abyssal without penalty.
*'''VOID STARES BACK (tainted)''' Cost: 3m (2xp); Mins: Awareness 3, Essence 2;
Type: Simple
Keywords: Combo-OK, Obvious, Taint
Duration: Indefinite
Prerequisite Charms: None
The Abyssalβs pupils ooze outward to stain iris and white alike with featureless and pitiless darkness. Enemies who stare into this darkness sometimes see their own death reflected within, the death they fear or perhaps the death the Neverborn wish for them (though such visions carry no true prophetic power). More practically, the deathknight can see perfectly in the dark without any penalties or reduction in visibility. He is no better able to see through fog or other visual obstructions.
The Taint drawback to this Charm is that the Abyssalβs eyes become painfully sensitive to direct sunlight within Creation, imposing a -1 internal penalty to all non-reflexive actions while so illuminated unless he closes his eyes completely. His eyes also immediately betray his supernatural nature if he cannot somehow hide their stain. The Taint costs one bonus point or two experience points.
*''' FIRST PRESENCE EXCELLENCY'''
1m per 1 die up to attribute + Ability.
*'''POISONING THE WILL'''
Cost: 10m, 1wp; Mins: Presence 3, Essence 2; Type: Simple
Keywords: Combo-OK, Compulsion, Mirror (Hypnotic Tongue Technique; Exalted, p. 203), Social, Stackable, Touch
Duration: Abyssalβs Charisma in days
Prerequisite Charms: Any Presence Excellency
Deathknights delight in making their victims the instrument of their own suffering, burying hidden commands in the deepest recesses of their psyche. Both this Charm and its Solar Mirror have the Compulsion keyword (although it was erroneously left out of the Mirrorβs write-up in Exalted).
*'''FIRST RESISTANCE EXCELLENCY''' 1m per 1 die added up to attribute + Ability
*'''INJURY-ABSORBING DISCIPLINE'''
Cost: 10m; Mins: Resistance 1, Essence 1; Type: Supplemental
Keywords: Combo-OK, Mirror (Body-Mending Meditation; Exalted, p. 208)
Duration: Until the night ends
Prerequisite Charms: None
Having died once, Abyssals quickly shrug off lesser wounds as inconsequential.
*'''SPIRIT-HARDENED FRAME'''
Cost: 3m; Mins: Resistance 2, Essence 1;
Type: Reflexive (Step 7)
Keywords: Combo-OK, Mirror (Durability of Oak Meditation; Exalted, p. 206)
Duration: Instant
Prerequisite Charms: None
Having returned from death, an Abyssal sneers at feeble attacks.
=== Combos === '''Combo Name''' 1wp 0m+ *Charm Name *Adamant Skin Technique *:Cause Gem to explode. == Essence == '''Essence:''' ββ
'''Regeneration:''' ''(twice the rating of your hearthstone(s) when active, 4/hour more when relaxed, 8/hour more when sleeping)''
'''Personal Essence Pool:''' /
'''Peripheral Essence Pool:''' /
'''Committed Essence:'''
''(write your essence pools as "current / maximum". current should be lower than maximum if you have motes committed to artifacts or if we finished a session while you wasn't at your maximum essence. commit from peripheral.)'' == Willpower == '''Willpower:''' βββββ ββ
Temporary: 1/1
== Virtues == '''Virtues:'''
Compassion β Conviction ββββ Temperance βββ Valor β '''Virtue flaw:''' RAEG (Valor)
'''Limit:''' β‘β‘β‘β‘β‘ β‘β‘β‘β‘β‘
'''Limit Break Condition:''' Seeing flamebait.
== Inventory == Light's Lament: Artifact 3
Soulsteel powerbow.
''Table'' Speed Acc.
