Freedom is an idealized, hypothetical state of existence pursued by people when they want something others have told them they can't have.  This can range from the pragmatic and reasonable (freedom to have a say in how things are run), to the confusing but inconsequential (freedom to consume as much bacon as you want), to the downright heretical (freedom to run [[Cheese|two thousand points worth of]] [[Jokaero]]).

''Spreading Freedom'' is something countries engage in when they want to have a war with someone who hasn't actually given them good reason to have a war and they can't stomach accepting that they just might be the baddies. We won't go into specifics due to inevitable [[Skub]], but just know that [[Argel Tal|the difference between liberation and invasion largely depends upon where one is standing at the time]].
