stub The leader of the blue-aligned New Phyrexian faction, following the principles of the Great Synthesis which is a perverted version of the central Phyrexian philosophy so that he can get shit done quicker. Is a fan of mind rape when it comes to interrogation but also for the lulz. Allied to Elesh Norn and her steamroller of orthodoxy, hates Vorinclex with a passion and is super-paranoid about Urabrask because of the latter's isolationist stance. Recently, Jin-Gitaxias had been charged by Elesh Norn to discover a way to compleat Planeswalkers (who, if compleated, would lose their soul and Spark and thus lose the ability to planeswalk) so that they might spread Phyrexia's influence across the multiverse. With Tezzeret's aid, Jin-Gitaxias managed to infiltrate the plane of Kamigawa in order to conduct experiments upon the native spirits. After much trial and error, Jin-Gitaxias was able to discover a way to successfully compleat the spirits of Kamigawa. Despite getting bisected by the Wanderer (Kamigawa's planeswalking emperor who's unstable Spark forces her to planeswalk at random), Tezzeret recovered his body and took him back to New Phyrexia, where he restored himself. Tezzeret later managed to capture Tamiyo, whom Jin-Gitaxias was able to successfully compleat into the first true-blooded Phyrexian planeswalker. ==In Game== An absolute monster, having flash in a color where it's preferred to do everything on your opponent's turns, and because of his effects is possibly one of the most trollish praetors to drop on your opponents' heads. He reduces your opponents maximum hand size by 7 that translates to no cards allowed in their hand once their turn is up, which is supremely annoying for everyone in your games and will most likely result in your opponents throwing everything at you because you're the dick who decided to play Jin-Gitaxias in a group game. Also helps you out massively because at the beginning of your end step, draw 7 cards. Better have that Reliquary Tower to help out with your hand, though, it's about to get big! His Neon-Dynasty iteration, though perhaps less immediately oppressive than his original version, is still a bitch to deal with. Once each turn, the first instant, sorcery or artifact spell the controlling player casts is copied. The first instant, sorcery or artifact your opponents play each turn is automatically countered. Each effect can only occur once each turn, though being able to double up on powerful spells or artifacts each turn for free can lead to some very potent snowballing on the player's part. On your opponent's it can be anywhere from inconvenient to downright crippling. (Un)fortunately, creature and enchantment spells are unaffected by Jin-Gitaxias, giving opponents a modest degree of potential counterplay that doesn't involve burning a potentially useful spell in order to bypass Jin-Gitaxias' counter effect.
