Whilst the Skitarii wear either Skitarii War Plates or Sicarian Battle Armours, the Secutarii of the Titan Legions have their own more sophisticated and better-equipped armour to protect themselves. The Titanshard Armour is a type of armour worn by Secutarii Axiarchs, although models indicate that both the lesser Peltasts and Hoplites also wear these things as standard-issue. ==Overview== The armour is made from the reforged fragments of Titans fallen in battle, the Secutarii who successfully preserved the remains of the Titan for the Legio is awarded the honour to bear the armour. What this means is that Titanshard Armour is literally made from shards of fallen Titans, which is one hell of a recycling endeavour. It also means that this thing is heavy as fuck to wear, as Titans are layered in a shit ton of Ceramite and Adamantium. The armour is considered a masterwork of Titan Tech-Priests arts, it offers defence similar to that of a Legiones Astartes Power Armour, enhances the wearer's strength beyond human levels and, furthermore, a part of the god-engine's near-indestructibility and bellicose machine-spirit still haunts the armour, making the Axiarch something truly inhuman. With the whole 'enhancing the wearer's strength' bit, one may assume that Titanshard Armour is a form of Power Armour, but the matter is more vague as it is not indicated that the whole thing is powered by assisted motors, musculature and other nick-nacks. On the contrary, all points lead to it being just a very heavy but very powerful form of Carapace Armour, as the whole 'strength enhancement' is already considered moot given the heavy augmentations of a Secutarii to begin with.
