dnd-stub Turn Undead is the iconic class ability of the Cleric in Dungeons & Dragons. It allows the cleric to direct an unspecified spiritual assault against undead type monsters, forcing them to keep their distance, and potentially destroying them if they are particularly weaker than the Cleric. Evil clerics instead traditionally have the ability to Control Undead, which uses the same system but places the undead under the cleric's control instead of warding it off. This is the main reason why evil clerics have long been seen as superior necromancers to wizards, despite that archetype being more associated with the later class. ==Third Edition== A list of classes that give Turn/Rebuke Undead or continue existing levels thereof. ===Base Classes=== *Cleric *Binder (Vestige: Tenebrous, the Shadow Thas Was) *Divine Mind (Stygian Path) *Dread Necromancer *Holy Monk (Monk Variant) *Paladin *Wild Reaper (Druid Variant) ===Prestige Classes=== dnd-stub *Apostle of Peace *Bone Knight *Chameleon *Deadgrim *Death Delver *Eldritch Disciple *Eye of Horus-Re *Knight of the Raven *Master of Radiance *Master of Shrouds *Ordained Champion *Paragnostic Apostle *Purifier of the Hallowed Doctrine *Radiant Servant of Pelor *Sacred Exorcist *Sacred Purifier *Soldier of Light *True Necromancer *Ur-Priest *Warpriest *Yathrinshee
