Approved Podcasts

This is a list of /tg/ "approved" podcasts, organized into loose genres, alphabetically. This also includes recorded games such as Critical Role, which rely largely on audio appeal.

Add important details in brackets.

And remember: all podcasts are for nogames, because wasting time on parasocial relationships is pointless for those of us (GMs and Players) who have real friends to play real games with.

Gameplay

• The Adventure Zone: Comedy. A long DnD campaign, followed by shorter campaigns in various systems. The DnD campaign gets increasingly railroady, until the last few episodes are just an extended cutscene.
• Arcology Shadowrun Community Podcast: Both commentary and actual plays about Shadowrun
• Critical Glitch: Another Shadowrun podcast, was on hiatus for a long while but is supposedly back now.
• Critical Role: A bunch of prolific voice actors get together and play DnD on a weekly basis. It's also GM'd by Jotaro Kujo.
• Drunks and Dragons: "Drunks and Dragons is an award-winning actual-play, comedy podcast using Dungeons and Dragons as a framework for creating a (mostly) improvised narrative."
• Fear The Boot: Mostly RPG stuff, lots and lots of episodes and topics.
• Gamer's Tavern: Possibly dead now but has lots of interviews.
• Glass Cannon: "In the spirit of old-school tabletop role-playing games, a collection of five super-nerds engage in an officially licensed Actual Play podcast of Paizo’s Giantslayer Adventure Path!"
• Godsfall: "Godsfall is an original fantasy story told through the lens of a 5th Edition Dungeons and Dragons game in a world of lost magic and dead gods known as Khalgun."
• Grim Dark Podcast: Focuses on the 40K RPGs formerly produced by FFG.
• MythBreakers: The only reason we even bother to tolerate /vt/. In short, it's a bunch of weirdos pretending to be cute anime girls playing Hunter: The Vigil.
• Narrative Declaration: Originally the channel for Warhams and Warhams Fantasy before both games ended in protest to GW being GW. Now they're starting off a new campaign based in Pathfinder Second Edition.
• NPC Cast: Fair mix of board, card and roleplaying games. Especially check out their Campaign Crucible episodes.
• Neo-Anarchist Podcast: In character Shadowrun podcast, focuses on telling history of the Sixth World.
• Nerds Poker: Shit(?). "Each week, under dark of night, in a dining room in Encino, a group of warriors led by Brian Posehn plays Dungeons & Dragons and you're invited to attend!"
• One Shot: Many thumbs up. Has gotten increasingly worse since Kat left the more James refuses to shut up about his political opinions.
• RPPR Actual Plays: Mostly one shots.
• RPPR Tabletop Tales: Campaign style games.
• Six Feats Under: ChipCheezum's sidekick is a game master for a bunch of former SomethingAwful Let's Players doing various different games.
• Total Party Kill: an offshoot of The Incomparable Podcast, this show started with a Dark Sun campaign on the blood-soaked sands of Athas, but other series (often with new players and characters) take place in Waterdeep, Barovia, or even in different RPG settings (such as Gamma World, and Sly Flourish's Fantastic Adventures). A very light-hearted podcast, with many puns and long-running jokes.

• Hardcore History - Survey history courses taught by a recovering talk radio DJ. Gives /his/ the vapors with his emphasis on fast paced narrative and punchy anecdotes but fuck those guys, you'll never have this much fun learning shit.
• Sleepycast - Podcast about a group of YouTube animators talking about random bullshit and occasionally inviting random guests. Currently on indefinite hiatus.
• Sword and Scale
• Welcome to Nightvale - Surreal horror/comedy. If you need a way to describe casual horror, this is a good place to look.
