OSRIC is fucking awesome.
Realizing that Caster Supremacy and such in Dungeons and Dragons is much worse in the later editions of D&D, a bunch of Neckbeards got together, and created a modernized version of Advanced Dungeons & Dragons for the modern age. It carries forth old-school 2nd Edition balance, but with better fleshing out. It's a rare case of a system that seeks to use the oldschool for what it was, and is better for it.
The fact that OSRIC came to be in the way it did should surprise no one familiar with /tg/.
And /tg/ looked upon it from above, and there was love.
It's available online, in PDF Format.
