The Assassin Vine or Choke Creeper is a predatory vine in Dungeons & Dragons. It drapes itself across tree branches, and grabs any animal that gets within its 30-foot range - to drop below it, for more nutrients. Yeah, it's another Gotcha Monster, here from the third-edition Monster Manual.
