At a mere 5 mana, Urabrask is the cheapest praetor. Urabrask is the only Praetor that doesn't have a evergreen keyword ability printed on his card. Now you might say "But wait! He gives creatures you control, including himself, haste!" Well, that's not ''quite'' the same thing. He probably won't have haste ''off the battlefield''. At some point wizards largely adopted a policy of giving a creature in his position "KEYWORD" and "Other creatures you control have KEYWORD". Urabrask didn't make it into this policy (maybe it wasn't around yet). In addition to giving your stuff haste, he makes opponents creatures enter the battlefield tapped.

Urabrask is one of the five Praetors of New Phyrexia from Magic: The Gathering. Unlike more or less everyone else affiliated in any way with Phyrexia, Urabrask is a total bro; apparently, red mana's association with freedom and individuality is enough to give even a fuckhuge Phyrexian warlord a shred of empathy. He also hates more or less every other Phyrexian faction, to the point that he sealed off the Furnace Layer and unleashed all sorts of predatory creatures outside the primary entrance to deter the other factions from bothering him. Jin-Gitaxias is rather paranoid about this; considering that Urabrask is also sheltering (or at the very least, ignoring) the survivors of the Mirran resistance, there is at least some cause for this.

Also, he may or may not be a compleated furnace dragon.

All good (and bro-tier) things must end, however, and Urabrask's realm was crumpled up, cut apart, and stitched together into something more suited to the glory of Phyrexia by Elesh Norn and the Machine Orthodoxy. Whether or not Urabrask himself survived is currently unknown. As of New Capenna our boy is BACK. He is now called the "Heretic Praetor" further solidifying his position as a bro.

With the recent Phyrexia plotline sets coming out our bro is kicking ass again, starting a rebellion against Elesh Norn and being fucking awesome. The non-phyrexian rebels see him as an enemy at the moment, but this will be resolved when they find out that he doesn't force you to become one with Phyrexia.

Although he was ultimately captured and severely maimed by Norn (who ripped off his limbs and gutted him like a fish), Urabrask is the only Praetor that certainly survived New Phyrexia's defeat (Sheoldred was executed by Ajani, Vorinclex was decapitated by an Askari, Jin was apparently eaten by his own pet newts and Norn herself was splattered by Karn). He has suffered worse injuries than the ones Norn gave him, so he'll probably recover. While he and what remains of his home are now isolated from the universe, he had the last laugh in the end.

At a mere 5 mana, Urabrask is the cheapest praetor. Urabrask is the only Praetor that doesn't have a evergreen keyword ability printed on his card. Now you might say "But wait! He gives creatures you control, including himself, haste!" Well, that's not quite the same thing. He probably won't have haste off the battlefield.

In New Cappenna preview he is shown to still be 5 mana, but his abilities have been tweaked. Now at the top of your upkeep you exile the top card of your library and can then play it; this happens to your opponent to if they would draw their first card after the beginning of the upkeep phase. He also gets haste and a 4/4 which is pretty solid. All in all, not that bad.

The with his latest card in March of the Machines he is at his cheapest being only 4 mana, he is a 4/4 creature first strike and whenever you cast an instant or sorcery you add 1 red mana and deal 1 damage to target opponent, then if you have cast 3 or more instants and sorceries, you can flip him for 1 red mana to turn him into the great work, a saga whose first chapter deals 3 damage to all opponent’s and creatures they control which is really good, its second chapter creates 3 treasure tokens which is okay, then its final chapter transforms it back to urabrask and allows you to cast instants and sorceries from all graveyards which is super good and allows you to transform urabrask again.
