Background[edit]

Yeng Pao was a wandering swordsman back in the day, when he lived in the Scavenger Lands before his Exaltation. He didn't really have a purpose in life, all he knew was swords and how to goad people into drawing them. This changed when he cecided to draw his blade in the defense of a villiage one day, finding those he tried to taunt kneeling in awe instead. Not fully grasping his new powers, he tried to go on with his old life, finding no-one could match him. He almost fell into despair, but a Sidereal, Lokust, took him in for training. He learned the ways of honour and justice, and what power he now had over mortals, but he didn't know much about his benefactor until he caught a lucky glimpse of a Sidereal caste mark! With the truth revealed, the two begam plotting to give him a reputation of anathema-slaying and mystery, to make him useful to the Realm.
