This is a /v/ related article, which we tolerate because it's relevant and/or popular on /tg/... or we just can't be bothered to delete it.

THQ was a video game company, notable to /tg/ because they're one of the companies tapped by Games Workshop to publish games set in the Warhammer 40,000 universe. They have published the Dawn of War and Space Marine video games (made by THQ subsidiary Relic Entertainment, who also made the acclaimed Company Of Heroes game, which had elements incorporated into Dawn of War II), and they were supposed to make Dawn of War 3 and an MMO called Warhammer 40,000: Dark Millennium (the latter through their Vigil Games studio), except they dropped the MMO part, and then THQ went through bankruptcy. Relic got bought by Sega for $26 million; hopefully, Vigil will stay together to work on Dark Millennium, but with the advent of Eternal Crusade the chances of that are looking rather slim. In particular, Relic getting bought out by Sega is fairly convenient, because this means they're roommates with Creative Assembly, the guys who are now going to make Warhammer Fantasy games.
