Foremost of the modules that didn't get won was Tomb of Annihilation, leading to an atropal having slouched toward Bethlehem. Elminster and all the other supposed saviours of Faerûn, caught flat-footed by mfw no pc, have all buggered off in fear. Now Baldur’s Gate is in Hell and demon princes run the Underdark (because Out of the Abyss didn't get won either). Other adventures-that-didn't-happen have loosed frost giants and Tiamat upon this world.

The shred of hope left in crapsack-Faerûn is that most of these Elder Evils all hate each other, more so now that there aren't any 15th level heroes left.

Every now and again an adventure-module will have a paragraph or, in the case of Wrath of the Righteous, several pages on what the campaign-world will look like if you lose. Doomed Forgotten Realms is Quill & Cauldron's whole sourcebook on Forgotten Realms if nobody bothers winning any of the 5e modules. It's... a little grim
