Summary

Imagine a bunch of evil Lancelots, no not that one, and multiply their betrayal & evil ten-fold and then make them spooky ghosts. Congratulations, you now have a Knight of Shrouds. Traitors, sabeutours, les collaborateurs and the like, who caused the downfalls of their kingdoms and birthplaces in exchange for being spared or power. Created from the souls of treacherous generals, lords, and knights, Knights of Shrouds are the lieutenants and overall front line leaders of Nighthaunt processions. It is through their terrifying voices of power that the legions of ghosts and spectres are transformed from a wailing mob into a force of ectomorphic destruction.

Nagash being who he is, makes sure their job isn't all fun and games. Always at the back of their minds gnaws the beast of doubt, "If I hadn't betrayed my country, would things had gone differently?", "What if I stayed, what if I had faced the blade with honour, would I be rewarded in death?".

Nagash uses this as a control mechanism, with the worm of doubt in their minds, they can only throw themselves against the enemies of the death god, hoping to seek some sort of twisted redemption for their crimes. Not knowing that Nagash doesn't forgive, he only judges accordingly.
