Local Lord, or Local Lordposting, is a meme from the 2020s inspired by (or perhaps parodying) /tg/'s memetic obsession with grimdark and Low Fantasy. There are several distinctive forms of Local Lordposting, but generally they revolve around a standard Heroic Fantasy style band of adventurers being impeded, obstructed, humiliated or outright destroyed by an (allegedly) historically accurate local lord figure and his forces. Local Lordposting does not stop at the lord and his personal army, it also extends to peasants,dirty, filthy, pig farming, filth farming peasants who are outright obstructive to literally craving the blood of adventurers and accusing them of monstrous acts such as the slaughter of villages and killing of peasants by the dozens for perceived slights.

Aspects of locallord posting include:

• No colour in anything, everything's either dyed in shades of grey or dirt brown, if there is colour it's usually the crimson blood of adventures staining the mailed foot of full harnessed Men-at-arms.
• Everyone hates adventures to ludicrous levels of fear and hatred, adventurers are either fools to be taken advantage of and sent to die against one of the horrifyingly overpowered monsters that inhabit the lands of the local lord, or killed on sight by said local lord or by his peasants due to adventures being personifications of the Devil incarnate.
• Medieval stasis is in full and heavy effect, the descendants of the dirt shoveling peasants 1000 years into the future will still be dirt shoveling peasants. Any technology more complicated than a trebuchet will be considered witch-craft and get you burned at the stake. There is no concept of trade or technological osmosis between regions and cultures, because they all grimderply hate each other with every fiber of their being.
• Magic is heavily feared and hated, wizards, sorcerers, mages and the like are killed on sight. Somehow the local lord is usually resistant to magic despite being a hater of magic.
• Feudalism is the defacto form of government and nothing, not even massive losses of life,(which led to feudalism dying out IRL) can put a dent in it. No knows where the peasants come from, some believe that the grimdark god of the locallord setting just creates them when they die en masse.
• The local lord himself, (his actual name is usually just local lord) can tank fireballs to the face, hates "Freakshit" races with a passion and can solo entire adventurer parties single handedly.
• The Local lord freely rapes every woman he can get his hands on, on the pretense of its the law and he makes the law.
• Able to have tens of thousands of men-at-arms in full harness at his very beck and call, even though mustering that many fighting men would cause a ruckus country wide, just to kill a single party of adventurers.
• Calling literally any action the party takes as "Such Hubris!"
• If you aren't a local lord, a peasant, a bandit, or a man-at-arms (In full harness) you are a adventurer and dead before your feet touch the ground.
