The Miga are a homebrew race created by /tg/ modeled after flies.
History
The true origins of the Miga are unclear. Over the eons, numerous stories have arisen to describe their creation.
Many believe they were created at the beginning of time by Myiagra and Beelzebub alongside the other races.
Others believe they are the descendents of a once prosperous society besieged by enemies. They say Muga appeared as a prophet and advocated worship of Miyagra, who in turn gave the people wings to flee their doomed city and the ability to subsist on what others would call refuse. Leaving behind their doomed civilization, the Miga, as they would be called, were humbled. Related to that story, some say the doomed people turned to the worship of a dark god, Beelzebub, who promised revenge on the invaders in exchange for sharing it's gifts with the vengeful. They speak of the foulest plagues, those that eroded all traces of the Miga's enemies and even of their own compatriots.
Another myth is that they were the creations of wizards or cultists which turned on their creators, and were later taken in by the gods of decay and renewal.
Biology
They look much like giant bipedal flies. They have many offshoots, but the most important division for the species are the Dormant and Nomadic Miga. Dormant Miga range from 4-5 feet tall, and their bodies veer towards average or stocky. Nomadic Miga range from 6-7 feet tall, and their bodies are typically gaunt.
Both sub-species share many traits, though. Miga have compound eyes, typically striated. Their bodies have a sparse coating of bristly, coarse insect hair, although it's more abundant on the nomads. Miga possess 6 limbs, 2 for walking, 4 for holding. Their two wings enable flight.
Miga possess a long, spongy, tubular mouth-part. Possessing no teeth, they regurgitate digestive enzymes over their food, and slurp it back up. Miga can eat most things, including things other races would find revolting. They have taste-buds on their hands and feet, rather than in their mouths.

Beelzebub
The Miga god of parasitism, representing the "evil" side of scavenging, the anti-thesis to Myiagra, and her sibling and supposed lover as well.
He takes many forms, but his favorite is the one that unnerves Miga the most, a hulking monstrosity that slightly resembles a regular fly, but with a stabbing proboscis instead of a slurping pad, with mottled flesh occupying where his bulbous eyes should be, tattered wings that seem like they would be unable to hold his bulk, raptorial limbs akin to a mantis fly, and to top it all off, he has no exoskeleton, instead having an endoskeleton with all his goopy, slimey, innards clinging to him and dripping off like ichor or sludge.
He is not worshiped by most the Miga, but by the Thuggee, a widespread vampiric Miga cult.
It is common for non-Miga members of a population to blame even minor diseases on Miga calling them Beelzebub worshippers, a very offensive statement to most civilized Miga.
