The Vulcans are a race of sapient humanoid aliens from Star Trek. They were the first non-human race to appear in the series, the first aliens to make official contact with humanity in the Star Trek universe and are for the most part humanity's best friends in the stars. They're pretty much space elves: Pointy ears, long live, being seen as wise, have magic/psionic powers and can crossbreed with humans.
