A handsome sepia-skinned southerner with black hair and a thin, athletic build, Avin would make a striking impression if it wasn't for the fact that he stands only slightly over a foot tall.  A pair of wings with sandy brown and black-speckled feathers grow from his back.  He has very defensive body language whenever talking directly to someone, obviously uncomfortable with the attention.  Instead he prefers to address people while he himself is hidden, and often finds places to hide even when among friends and allies.

Background

Avin was an orphan in the south who escaped slavery by becoming a thief. For a time he made a decent living picking pockets and minor theft, but he was soon asked to take on more daring jobs, and was soon a skilled cat burglar, sneaking into the homes of the rich and powerful and taking treasures for a commission.

He forever will rue the day he was caught. Not for the fact that he had failed, but for who had caught him: The ambassador of a nearby fair-folk freehold. Rather than turning him over to the authorities, the Raksha kept the young man as a curiosity, since he had managed to sneak past all of the preternaturally watchful guards that he had posted.

Back at the court he became a plaything of the Raksha nobles, who would send him on seemingly impossible tasks, occasionally constructing obstacle courses and mazes for him to complete for their amusement. When he woke up in a pile of tent-like fabric that used to be his clothing, his hosts delighted at the tiny mouse that was now theirs to torment. They made even more intricate and complicated courses for him to run, all under a glass roof for them to better track his progress. After growing a pair of wings, they added a third dimension to the courses, stressing and pushing him even further beyond his limits.

One day when he was in a new cage, he realized the bars were thin enough for him to bend, meant to contain a bird, not a small human. When he saw an opening, he quietly slipped out of the cage and escaped into the freehold. But he did not try and leave, no. He had a score to settle. Clutching a sharpened metal splinter of cold iron, he made his way to the noble's sleeping chamber, and as the pale light of a golden circle flickered on his forehead, he slashed out the Raksha's throat, leaving it to bleed and gurgle to death.

Avin found upon returning to Creation that his new conditions made life far more difficult than he had imagined. Not only was his size a hindrance, but his obvious mutatio caused him to be shunned, and when someone discovered his nature as an Anathema, he was persecuted even more. So he did what he was best at: disappear. He moved through the world like a shadow. He would steal what he needed, although he would usually try and pay his victims back somehow. He learned much by slipping unnoticed into studies and libraries, listening to private discussions, uncovering secret plots. He discovered that despite his seperation from the world, there was much he could do to change it.

So began his crusade, penetrating the most secure conspiracies, uncovering the darkest secrets, and finding the few friends of justice left in this world and leaving them notes and clues that would help them undermine and overthrow the darkness that strangles Creation.

It was quite some time before he encountered the Gold Faction, but encounter them he did. He had left a clue for a local constable about a slave smuggling ring in a particular city, and that constable happened to be the Resplendent Destiny of a member of the faction. Tracking down the elusive Avin was a trial, but once the sidreal realized he was looking for someone who was very, very small, it simplified the search somewhat.

Orichalcum Essence Lens - Attune 5 - Charms that cause direct damage with Essence, such as elemental bolt, double their base damage. Weapons the exalt creates out of Essence double their damage modifier.
Oramous Skin Boots - Attune 5 - Increase the wearer's DV against all attacks by 3. The wearer may apply his Dodge DV against attacks that cannot normally be dodged.
Infinite Resplendence Amulet - Attune 5 - Can reflexively create any type of clothing imaginable. Removed clothing evaporates and flows back into the amulet. +5B/+5L soak, stacks with and is not considered armor for charms. +2 to Stealth rolls and Larceny rolls to create a disguise. At will, can gain +4 to Appearance, although stealth is obviated like an 8-10 level anima. Pockets can be made that lead to Elsewhere, and can store up to one ton of objects that only the wearer can reach.
Aegis Inset Amulets - No attunement - Reduce the attune costs of armor by 2
Heaven Glory Shroud - No attunement - Increase the number of motes that must be spent to activate any given level of anima by (7-Essence). For Night Caste Solars, also cut in half the number of motes that feed their Anima with each essence expendiature.
Band of Faith - No commitment - Contains a single mote of essence which is available to the wielder for use. This mote recharges after the ring is exposed to the sun for one hour.
