Contacts: (Another Freehold) ● (pp. 114-15, Core)

  • A successful Manipulation + Socialize or Persuasion roll allows the gathering of information from a web of contacts in the specified area. Exceptional success, a wealth of accurate information. Dramatic Failure, inaccurate or misleading information. Bonuses and penalties can be applied.
Fighting Style (Fencing) ●●
  • Thrust (p. 211, Armory)
+1 bonus to attack, lunging forward at the target.
  • Feint (p. 211, Armory)
Make attack roll (Dexterity + Weaponry), reduced by Defense as normal. This attack is fake and does no damage. If successful, however, the opponent is off balance and may not apply defense to next attack, no matter who it comes from.
Fighting Style (Two Weapons) ●
  • Whirling Blades (p. 112, Core)
Dodge trait (defense doubled) is not penalized by multiple attacks against him in a turn until the number of attacks exceeds his Weaponry dots. After that, each reduces his Dodge by 1.

Fleet of Foot ● (p. 112, Core)

  • +1 Speed

Hob Kin: ●● (p. 92-3, Rites)

  • For being well known in various markets, hobs react to him as if he were of their own kind. Payment for services rendered is usual equal to the service's cost. He can arrange to have a hob guard his hollow in exchange for being allowed to live there.

Contracts

Fang and Talon (Rabbits and Hares) ●●
Tongue of Hares and Words of Rabbits (p. 142, Changeling)
1 Glamour, Wyrd + Animal Ken, Instant
Catch: The Changeling gives the animal a new name.
  • The Changeling can speak to all animals of the specified type for the next scene. The character must whisper or vocalize somehow, the animal may respond through noise or body language. Exceptional Success, the animal feels affectionate, loyal, and is actively helpful with given information. Dramatic Failure, all animals are angered or scared and this contract cannot be used for a full scene.
Rabbit's Keen Senses (pp. 142-43, Changeling)
2 Glamour, Wits + Wyrd, Instant
Catch: The changeling sees or touches an animal of the type being imitated.
  • The Changeling gains the senses of a rabbit, gaining +2 to all Wits rolls related to perception as well as a rabbit's keen hearing for the scene. Exceptional Success, +1 more to all Perception rolls. Dramatic Failure, all senses are muddied, giving -1 to all Perception rolls for a scene.
Fleeting Spring
Cupid's Eye (p. 149, Changeling)
1 Glamour, Wits + Wyrd vs. Composure + Wyrd, Contested
Catch: The character has kissed the subject in the past 24 hours or the subject's object of desire is the character.
  • The Changeling learns one of the subject's desires, with negative modifiers to learning more specific or hidden ones. Exceptional Success gives the character two desires of a certain level or the knowledge that there's only one desire at that level. Dramatic failure means the character gets false information.
Separation
Tread Lightly (p. 40, Winter Masques)
1 Glamour, Dexterity + Wyrd, Instant
Catch: The character is wearing fancy and delicate footwear that would be ruined without this clause.
  • The character can move across any solid surface as if he weighed next to nothing. He leaves no tracks and takes only bashing damage from falls. Anyone tracking him receives a -2 penalty due to light tracks. He can walk, climb, or run on surfaces to fragile to support his weight. This last for a scene. Exceptional Success, the character can jump twice as far and climb twice as fast. Dramatic Failure, the character trips and falls, taking one turn just to stand up.
Thorns and Brambles
Bite of the Wooden Fang (pp. 49-50, Dawn)
1 Glamour, Dexterity + Wyrd, Reflexive
Catch:The character uses a whip made of plant material.
  • Invisible thorns appear along a wooden weapon that inflicts bashing damage. The weapon gets a bonus to attack equal to successes rolled. Exceptional Success, the damage is upgraded to lethal. Dramatic Failure, thorns bite his hand and he drops his weapon, losing his instant action. Modifiers: +3 if part of a hedge duel, +1 if in the hedge (does not stack with +3), -1 if used against Armor of the Element's Fury.

Attacks

Sword-Cane: 5(L)(Token) + Dexterity 3 + Weapons 3 + Specialty 1 = 12d10
Scabbard: 2(B) + Dexterity 3 + Weapons 3 + Specialty 1 = 9d10, may be modified by Thorns and Brambles ●

Possessions

Sword Cane 2(L/B), Size 2, Durability 3, Bashing damage when sheathed.

  • A simple, straight cane made of dark, polished wood. The tip is brass, as is the handle, which is sculpted into a stylized rabbit's head. When removed from the scabbard, the blade reveals itself to be not metal, but something akin to the beams of light that sometimes break forth when a cloud passes in front of the sun. It's golden in color and mostly translucent, but sharp enough to draw blood with the barest touch. When asked where he picked it up, he's likely to say that he just got it "for a trifle" at the market.

Hollow

  • He chanced upon this small hollow when he first arrived in New Auburn. It looked as if it had been recently vacated, and he's since cleared it out and smoothed into two simple, sparse rooms. For the time being, there's little more than a cot in there. It's a place to get away to and to store things in, but he has plans for it. It has one, small exit into the Hedge, just a hole underneath the thorns. The other door opens out of an unused apartment in a mid-range complex in downtown New Auburn, close to the most social night spots. To anyone who doesn't know the proper way in, the reality side door opens into a brick wall. On the Hedge side, the entrance is simply well-hidden by the thorns.

Tumbleglass

  • An assortment of multicolored glass spheres, like marbles. Gained at the Invitational Market. Worth 2 lucre.

Seamanfagporn

  • A fountain pen that can only write in anagrams. Gained at the Invitational Market. Worth 5 lucre.

Background

"I could tell you my adventures beginning from this morning, but it's no use going back to yesterday, because I was a different person then."

The Mask shows March to be a tall, lanky man of an indeterminate age. Surely he's no older than 30. He's got sandy brown hair, neatly combed when it's not hidden under the broad, straw boater he wears. He favors light colored clothes, especially antiquated, ice-cream colored suits. Often, he looks like a throwback to the turn of the previous century, with a modern twist. March has an easy smile, slightly buck teeth that only make him look disarmingly charming, and warm brown eyes.

In his Mien, his lanky frame extends into the gangly, powerful limbs and elongated features of a hare. Fine fur, the same speckled, sandy color of his hair makes itself known on his cheeks, some of his joints, and on the long ears that top his head. The buck-teeth are even more prominent on his slightly elongated face. He seems built for speed at a moment's notice, ready to dash away, leaving the carefree scent of fresh grass that his Spring mantle brings.
