Character Sheet[edit]

Basics[edit]

Description: This adorable-looking 11-year-old girl is normally dressed in a black nun's habit just a little too large for her thin frame, with her nut-brown hair beginning to grow out from some shorter style and a spiraling curl is developing on each side of her face. Her green eyes peer about solemnly when she isn't glancing all about to notice anything and often she is hiding behind someone. If she is alone, she will huddle into the green with silver stitching scarf around her neck and shuffle her black patent-leather shoes nervously as she mumbles in a very soft voice.

When Emerald actually can get away with being himself, he tends to wear a black cap to hide his growing hair and at least one of the drill-like curls and wear his scarf around his neck so it will trail out behind him as he runs. His clothes actually vary as well; while he prefers dark colors, he isn't just in one uniform. The only time he is in something similar to an uniform is... the overly-large nun's habit he wears as a girl, simply with him hiding his hair and actually speaking up enough to make it apparent he is a boy. He still looks happy and solemn and cute, he just drops the nervous act.

    The Onyx Saint, the mecha that is now in Emerald's custody.  Funnily enough, Emerald has a plushie that looks similar to the Onyx Saint,
       but instead of being black, it is a glittering green.  It's actually of the Emerald Saint, the kid's namesake and a precious toy of his.
Combat Technique 2: (4 points)
    Judge Opponent - A child of surprising insight, Emerald is able to assess his enemies and their weapons without seeing them fight.  
    Precise Aim - The same sharp mind is the reason the kid also has a deadly precision in combat, reducing called shot penalties 
       and increasing Aim and Wait for an Opening bonuses to +3.  The bonus can only accumulate for two rounds.

NAME: Onyx Saint
Model: Unique
Manufacturer: The Holy Order of Bejeweled Stars

The Saints. These mecha are shining jewels in the void, gleaming machines seemingly made out of tens of colossal gemstones that give each Saint their name. They bear a resemblance to the winged humanoids that most associate with angels, with their wings a framework for crackling energy. While they are mostly mundane robots that draw on that sense of simplicity for power (and making it harder to jam said powers), the reverence and upgrades their charter houses gave them have made each Saint have some 'miracle' beyond the norm. All of them use lasers as their main combat weapon, spraying out a maelstrom of celestial lights from their wings across space to attack enemies. These maelstroms have a set pattern to each of them, programmed into the specific Saint, but others can make program cards for the pilot to use if needed. There is one other quirk all Saints have; several requirements that the pilot must fulfill to use one when they first attempt to do so. If they fail to do so the first time, they will never be able to use that Saint. Said requirements are kept in secret by the Mother Superior of each Charter and by the pilots themselves if and only if they are the last person left to know.

The Onyx Saint is the last mecha in the custody of the Order, and it is a valuable one. Yes, the Saint Diamond was almost indestructible, and the Sapphire Saint a monster in combat, but the Onyx Saint possesses something that is deadly in the hands of the right person. It possesses an almost unsurpassed capability for stealth. While its black frame makes it difficult to visibly see against the void of space, it also generates a containment field that harmonizes with any radar that comes by, concealing itself from that, with some unusual compound in its paint absorbing ultraviolet light. However, this is not the Onyx Saint's miracle. The Onyx Saint, by some means of technology that the Bejeweled Stars are tight-lipped about, can conceal its own heat signature, down to the exhaust the Saint releases in movement.

However, that stealth is useless without firepower and while the Onyx Saint has few defenses besides its speed and maneuverability, it packs a nightmarish wallop.

    A barrage of brilliant lights suddenly blaze forth from a single location in space, reflecting for a split second off of a black-armored
       figure before spreading outward in a spiral of star-like lights.
