One of /tg/'s many, many homebrew Space Marine chapters, though they were created with the Chaos Space Marine Warband Creation Tables. The results gave a renegade Salamanders successor which led a well-intentioned rebellion against the Imperium, loathed the Ruinous Powers, and posses a wealth of Archaeotech weaponry and with it respect for the glory days of the Imperium. In short, they'd be really, really bad at being Chaos Space Marines. So instead, they're loyalists... to the Great Crusade-era Imperium, of which they view the present-day Imperium (especially the Inquisition and Ecclesiarchy) as a twisted and hateful imitation.
They're accompanied by a good chunk of Hereteks, entranced by the potential of several large Archaeotech caches used to arm and supply the legion, and have a working relationship with any loyalist chapters willing to make under-the-table deals or when faced with a common foe. On the flipside, they're not very popular with the Inquisition, with at least one Inquisitor dedicated to their destruction.
