The ruleset was designed to be fast to learn and easy to play, being ''literally'' one page long, and allows players to have entire matches in the time span of 45-60 minutes. It features alternating activations and tries to do away with rules that bog down the game, instead focusing on strategy and simple mechanics to provide a fun alternative to GW rules.

"Wargaming made simple and fun!" - One Page Rules Motto

"You can continue getting raped by GW, or realize that there are healthy alternatives out there." - OnePageAnon, Some 1p40k Thread

One Page Rules is the home of many single-page rulesets, most known for One Page 40k and One Page Kill Team. The Blog features alternate rulesets to be played with Warhammer 40,000 and Warhammer Fantasy Battle miniatures, and they were written by OnePageAnon (since April 2014). The mission statement is to create rules that everyone can enjoy, and to "leave no man behind", by providing systems in which players can use any and all of their miniatures instead of having to leave them on a shelf because GW nerfed them to oblivion.
