Paratticus is the almighty starfish lord of rejects. He is the patron of the renegade, and a minor deity of the Warp. He was once the fifth major Chaos God (at the time he was the fourth because Slaanesh had not yet be born), but the other Gods robbed him of much of his power by rigging a dice game. For this, Paratticus never forgave the other Gods. He has proven to be a menace to the plans of the four, sabotaging as many forces of the ruinous powers in the materium as he dares. He tends to mask his true powers in the form of parodies and spoofs. He used to have the physical form of a muscular, noble warrior, with a halberd in hand. He has since changed his appearance to be that of a mentally scarred starfish, his mouth permanently agape.
Paratticus has a Warband following known as the Lords Paratticus, who currently number in 753 Chaos Space Marines. They bedeck themselves in the sacred colors of pink and red, and hunt down every bastion of the Chaos Gods that they can find, only momentarily attacking the Imperium in order to obtain new neophytes. The Lords Paratticus prefer to steal neophytes from Ultramarines, ensuring that their Chaos Space Marines are not plagued with prior mutation or dedication to another Chaos God (or Gods). The Lords Paratticus who prove their absolute faith to their God are rewarded by being reborn to resemble the likeness of Paratticus. Some, those who earn the equivalent of Daemonhood, are transformed into daemonic figures forged in the exact likeness of Paratticus, unable to wear armor and without need of material weapons, using telekinesis, telepathy, and Light Amplification by Stimulated Emission of Radiation as psychic weapons. Greater Daemons of Paratticus have been known to tear holes through reality, only to destroy some seemingly meaningless structure or object, only to have it play a key role in crushing enemy forces. The Daemons of Paratticus sometimes emit a screech from their constantly open jaws. This battle cry sounds, according to eye witnesses, like "leedle leedle leedle le".
The Sons Infinite Chapter has been dedicated to destroying Paratticus, root and stem. The Ordo Stella is an Ordo Minoris of the Inquisition which investigates the mysterious renegade God.
