Pathfinder Slayer is Rogue's Jock brother. His skill monkey potential is reduced. Amount of Skills and skill point are reduced as well, and the fact that Slayer gets the nerfed/limited version of Rogue talents make Slayer an "okay" skillmonkey. The sneak damage is also halfed(gained at lvl3) but that doesn't really matter that much. Instead Slayer gets full BaB, d10 fighter Hit die, good saves, proficiencies with Martial weapons as well as Medium armor and Shields. So if your party needs crap like trapfinding, disable device and all that mundane shit a rogue would do but you still want to be a good melee/ranged DPS. Plus you get Ranger's "Favoured enemy" by just spending a move action to "Study Target". Wich scales as you progress. At lvl7 you can proundly call yourself a "Stalker" as you gain a better social version of study target. If you want to play a badass Bounty hunter the Slayer is for you.
