Alaska

The entirety of the state stayed mostly safe due to the fact of most people looking it over for nothing more than a cold expanse, but really there was an entire army there. Alaska suffering from 0 nuclear attacks has able to stay stable and secure while other continental state fell.

The Alaskan Republic was the first form of government after the Exchange isolated Alaska. It didn't do much in the way of change, but sometimes that's a good thing. It was headed by the mayor of Anchorage, Dan Sullivan. It lasted for three months and it's capitol was Anchorage.

The Alaskan Union was the next form of post-Exchange government of Alaska. It's capitol was Nome and it tried to incorporate the Yukon and Northwest Territories into the Union. It was successful in this and on it's one year anniversary it passed an amendment, the First Amendment for the AU's bill of rights. This amendment gave more rights to the Inuits. It went by two president's the first was Denise Michels and the second was Sean Parnell. Sadly, the AU fell on the Second year due to a revolt during election season. The Revolutionists were power-mad twenty-year-olds who believed they should invade Siberia and North Japan.

The Revolutionists won and set up a communist government with Sarah Palin as their Dipper( or Dictator). This new government was called the People's Republic of Alaska, Northwest Canada, Siberia. They called it Alaska for short. The Alaskan military proceeded to invade Siberia and North Japan(more specifically Hokkaido). The Ainu people that lived on the island for centuries were able to defend the main island of Hokkaido, but some others fell to Alaskan hands. Due to Alaska's impressive army it was able to get a good foothold on Siberia. Later it attacked Kamloops, in British Columbia and took most of North and Central BC.

Now it is starting to be wrapped up in the Civil War as communications between it and the other post-Exchange strengthen.
