Centauri Primus was the homeworld of the Steel Marshals and the cradle of their gold-like founder, Roman Albrecht. Even after thousands of years of human habitation, the planet retains breath-taking natural beauty. Some say that the wild places of Centauri Primus are the font from which the fierce, war-like spirit of its people flows.
Honour dueling holds a particularly important place in Centauran culture. The ancient laws of the swordsman's fraternity, the Couro Prido, moderated the violent impulses of the Centauran people in times of peace, without letting their warrior spirits lapse into decadence.
