Modern militaries need modern transport

With the dawning of the 20th century, every military on the face of the planet began to take note that actual horsepower was on the way out, to be replaced with modern motor powered transport. This did not mean that the days of horses in the military were over, far from it, just that a new phase in military transportation had begun. The US Army sought an inexpensive and reliable transporter, and the Ordinance Department found one in the Ford Model T truck.

Manufactured using the assembly line system made famous by Henry Ford himself, Ford Model T truck was quickly given the moniker of "Fliver" by the troops for reasons higher command has yet to fathom. The Fliver has proven highly versatile, with only slight modifications to turn it into a troop transport, tow truck, or even an Ambulance.
