Background

Reckless and foolhardy, Rex was a soldier discharged for insubordination and laziness. Though a fine warrior, he was shiftless, directionless, hot-headed and prone to fell moods he couldn't fully understand the reasons for; if he was not graced with the Exaltation, he would have never survived his own excesses and lack of foresight. Having long before wore out the patience of his family, he was forced into a life of wandering that severely clashed with his lazy impulses. His own hubris magnified when he met a lovely and powerful shapeshifter who seemed to instantly bow to his whim, and his faculties of proportion and restraint crumbled. After his Exaltation, a stranger with violet eyes took him in and led him to Ishtareth, and equipped him with numerous potent artifacts, including implanted ones, and appealed to his sense of pride to cause him to assault a number of Dragon-Blooded manses. Having hated the Dragon-Blooded ever since his sister married one, he gladly agreed, and embarked on a mission of carnage. Subsequently, he forgot the stranger having ever existed, and having taken over the manses, imagines it was his idea. In time, he took to calling himself Rex Mundi.

Appearance

Rex is tall and overtly strong, but in a compact rather than bodybuilder fashion. Whenever not accompanied by Ishtareth, the dark moon dragon, he often wears her moonsilver powered armor, which looks as black as night, with brilliantly gleaming golden inverted pentagrams, sunwheels, and so forth decorating it. He has a blade almost as big as he is strapped to his back, made of white gold. When he cannot mooch his girlfriend's armor, he tends to wear a buff jacket.
