Warhammer 63k
{work in progress}(should post pictures of the female/ male new versions, just saying)
Warhammer 63k came from a simple question, what would a gender-flipped version of the 40k verse look like?
Things here are kinda tricky. For the 40k setting to happen really at all, then everything has to stay the same, just with girls names and female pronouns. But y'know. Chicks are cool, and have titties, and why not have a 40k universe where they have the opportunity to fuck shit up just as terribly as men but look hot doing it, and maybe even a few of them might lez it up. A rather more interesting project might be doing this but where half the male characters are female. But that's just this writers opinion I guess.
History
The Isis Heresy
The Isis Heresy was a civil war in the Empress' Imperium of Woman, and affectted all worlds there for seven years. It was fought in early M31, and there were more than 4.5 Trillion deaths. The heresy ended with the death of the traitor Warmaiden Isis, with the Empress being attached to the golden throne to save her from certain death. Roberta Guiliwoman then reformed the legions who remained loyal into the modern- age space marine chapters.
The Age of Apostasy
The Age of Apostasy is one of the major time periods of the Imperium. It began around M36, when Georgina Vandire, Mistress of the Administratum, had the Ecclesiarch assassinated and took control of the church herself. Power went to her head though and she began the so-called "Reign of Blood", in which she purged the Imperium of any dissenters with the backing of armies of millions of frenzied Imperial Cultists, led by her Preachers. Vandire proved difficult to unseat, as she was protected by an order of warrior men once known as the Sons of the Empress, which she renamed "Husbands of the Empress" when she convinced them to serve her.
Eventually, the people of the Imperium grew tired of Vandire's rule, and when a young woman named Samantha Thor started warring against the mad High Lord, she was soon joined by a massive army known as the Coalition of Light. Vandire sent a fleet to deal with Thor's army, but when it was lost in the Warp, people took that as a sign that the Empress favored Thor, and she became even more popular.
When Thor finally got to Terra, she joined forces with the Space Marines and Adeptus Mechanicus (who had never been friendly with the Ecclesiarchy to begin with), and managed to dislodge Vandire, forcing her to retreat to the heavily-fortified Ecclesiarchical sanctum of the Imperial Palace. With a Space Marine force spearheaded by the Imperial Fists and their successors attacked it was assumed that Vandire would be easily overwhelmed. It came as a nasty surprise when the Sons proved to be too well entrenched for the Astartes premier fortification breaking experts to overcome. The Adeptus Custodes brought Alex Dominica, the leader of the Husbands of the Empress, to a face-to-face meeting with the big woman herself. What exactly was said is unknown, but he was filled with such Rage that he renamed his sect the Sons and ended up personally executing Georgina Vandire himself. Her last words were "I don't have time to die; I'm too busy".
With Vandire dead, Samantha Thor became the new Ecclesiarch, and she instituted a number of reforms. First, she toned down the Ecclesiarchy's grandeur, insisting that the Church serve the Imperium as much as the other way around. Second, she issued the Decree Passive, a law which stated that the Ecclesiarchy should have no "women under arms". Finally, since she realized that the Ecclesiarchy still needed an armed force of some kind, she reformed the Sons of the Empress into the Orders Militant of a new, all-male branch of the Ecclesiarchy, reasoning that the Decree Passive didn't forbid them since they were men under arms. They then became the Adeptus Fraternitus, or "Brothers of Battle" warrior monks to the space marines' warrior nuns. To make sure these new reforms were followed, the Inquisition set up the Ordo Hereticus to both police the Ecclesiarchy and protect the purity of its teachings, with the Battle-Brothers serving as the Ordo's Chamber Militant.

Heroines and Villans
Guidelines to all and sundry: Generally the approach taken in these lists is to use some artistic license to not just directly force existing male names into female ones. You're looking to keep things recognisable, but also to give these ladies some of their own identity. Say your idea out loud. Does it sound like a genuine name that a woman would call herself? Does it sound similar enough to the original to still be recognisable? Avoid things that sound like the name the original character would use if they were cross dressing. Try to think about what kind of person would have the name you chose. Oh and try to avoid obviously not-real names that sound vaguely feminine. These gals are humans, not elves. They were named by normal citizens of the Imperium, not JRR Tolkein. And try to have fun.

Tyranid Norn-king fleet names
Pretty much the same only, the tyrants being.. well... You know how they call that one bio titan a Dominatrix? Role reversal pretty much.( also you don't even need to guess what the projectile and melee weapons are. We are talking DOUBLE X4 EXTRA HERETICAL! So any one of you ladies are thinking of it. Report to your nearest Commisaria for BLAMING!)
Feared by most all Races of the Galaxy are the implacable and enigmatic Tyranids. Living machines of organic destruction they seek one thing and one thing alone. The further reproduction and propagation of the species through any means needed to collect DNA to further improve and empower their constantly rapidly invasive regenerative species.
They have One goal. "GROW" which is driven by the Impossible will of the hive mind. A collective congregation of the mental capacities of the entire Tyranid species from the smallest microbe to the biggest beast. All Driven by the hive as directed by its Focal points. The dreaded and abominable Norn-Kings of the fleets.
The Norn kings are the core of the swarm and the biggest collective points of the hive-mind. Living hate-filled single minded DNA calculators with a desire to only make the newest best species of 'Nid, that live only to ingest DNA calculate its best resulting mutations for the swarm then "re-inject" the new DNA strain back into the massive "womb" ships they call home. We have named the swarms for the ancient false gods of Terra long past that once where said to terrorise humankind in her infancy.
These are two of the more well known Vanguard species sent ahead of the swarm to locate and prepare planets.
Genestealers. The vanguard organism of the swarms that found sexual based cults that exist only to reproduce more infected beings to further its beacon to signal hive fleet-kings. They work with a highly heretical nature promising a land of sheer pleasure and purpose for fealty. Most likely form of Tyranic Infection. They work from finding the weak and desperate and infecting them, then sending them out lead by there psychic eminance to find more to join the cult and give birth to more genestealers to propagate.
These are the names of the eternal norn-kings of the fleets. The hivemind will made manifest incarnate. The spirit of all that is Tyranic made real. Know their names and beg for the Empress to give mercy, for the kings of the fleet will have no such thing for us.
- Zeus. The thunder king. A Behemoth that almost ate Macragge.
- Poseidon. The wave king. That nearly cracked an entire Segmentum.
- Hades. The unending hungry king, that rises from below.
- Bacchus. The foundling king of DNA collector cults.
- Hermes. The swift winged king of nightmares of forsaken truth.
- Argus. The many seeing king of the tears of inevitability.
- Chrynos. The shadow king of the hivemind, the warp blocker.
- Ouroboros The tail-eating king, disposer of the failed fleets.
Among the Swarm is a being that has existed from the moment the hivemind gained sentient thought. It is the very Icon of all the Tyranids are.
- Swarm queen. Among the storied tales of fighting the tyranic menace are the tales of the Legendary and horrid Swarm Queen. Claimed to be the living queen incarnate of the norn kings. Claved by the norn kings womb ships, in times of upmost need when average and regular tactics fail. She is the daughter of the hivemind, and commander of all its forces she sees. The Swarm queen lives to only gain conquest for the sake of the swarm, using its near infinite and vast intellect to asses and command the battlefield. It is rumored by some magos to be the result of unending warfare culminating in a very Avatar of the will of the unending Devouring swarm. Each time it is claved from the bio ships it has all the memory and desire of its past lives. Meaning each time it dies it learns how and why it died and recalls what killed it marking it with a unthinkable vendetta that ripples across the hivemind. If the Norn kings are the unseen godlike directors of the will of the collective hive mind. The Swarm Queen is there avatar on the physical plain always working ONLY for the implacable will and desire of the nornkings and the hivemind. If the Theories of the Magos are true. The empire of woman has Now roused a thing so unfathomable to its understanding that anathema is the only word worthy of its title. A thing that Lives on eternal in its species collective genetic memory as a icon of pure victory, never sleeping never resting. Always Hungry. Always for the swarm.
"We are the swarm. We are unending. We are all that is. We are all that shall be. Infinity of joy is ours. For all serve the swarm!"~ Common chant of the genestealer cultists
