Set high in the mountains north of Whitewall, this quiet retreat is now home to an Infernal master, who rarely visits besides to squirrel away more of her art.
Owner: Kuria
Campaign: Will of the Yozi
Hearthstone
Jewel of the Master's Hand (Air ●●●)
A glittering, perfect sphere of milky white stone forms in the heighest chamber of the manse, on a silk cushion. It gives the owner, Kuria, a keener eye for detail in all her crafts.
Manse Powers
The Aerie has 6 points of powers.
Attuenement Recognition
Cost: 0
The manse can tell who’s attuned and who bears its hearthstone(s).
Basic Senses
Cost: 0
If any other power’s use requires the manse to target a creature, the manse has the senses to do so.
The difficulty to hide from the manse is 3, and dice pools to do so are reduced to 0 before Charm use. Immaterial beings disturb a manse’s geomancy as much as material ones, so manses can sense them too.
Cosmetic Displays
Cost: 0
Small motes of light drift on the constant breezes, cligning to clothes and the floor alike for a few moments before fading away. Uninterrupted, they blow through the manse, disappearing as they drift outside.
Magical Conveniences
Cost: 1
- Certain rooms in the manse are perfectly climated for the storage of perishable items, be they ancient scrolls, weapons, or art.
- Once a room is entered, the motes flare and hover in the air where ever they were prior to entering, lighting rooms with an eerie, shivering white.
- While the motes usually drift or freeze, asking the manse queries about its status, the number of occupants, or the results of an analyzation causes them to form answers in old-realm glyphs that gradually fade from view unless keeping them visual is requested. The manse can answer any question it is 'aware' of, though it is not truly intelligent.
Mela's Sweet Whisper
Cost: 2
Chimes, bells, and tinkling glass chandeliers constantly jingle and ring in the wind, filling the manse with an unearthly song. Joining in with the tune is the voice of the manse itself, soft and low, like a lullaby that echoes with the breezes. If questioned, the manse can answer verbally in old realm in a sing-song tone. It can also carry short messages, allow Kuria to make manse-wide announcements, or simply play her favorite song from Malfeas.
She has found this power simply essential.
Analytical Senses
Cost: 3
By far probably the original purpose of the manse, it can pick apart the essence and inner-workings of artifacts and people in its zone of influence. This has lead Kuria to a deeper understanding of herself, her artifacts, and the manse itself - she hasn't had the time or thought to test it on others.
