Terrifying ambushers. A keen eye should be able to avoid most webs, though exceptions exist in the form of extremely tiny fibers or pitfall traps. Best recommendation is to avoid being caught off guard as most are armed with poisons to incapacitate you. Go for the joints, where the chitin is likely to be weak. If you see a web beginning to sprout up near your settlement, do not waste time in setting fire to it. If you wait too long, the spider may actually imbue it with a low level of magic resistance.
