Age of Sigmar/Tactics/Old/Destruction/Spiderfang Grots
Warscrolls
Common keywords in these warscrolls are DESTRUCTION and SPIDERFANG. Except for the standalone Arachnarok Spider, they also have the GROT keyword.
Every model in the faction haves these abilities:
- Wall-crawler: Can move through scenery.
- Spider Venom: If you roll a 6 to hit with the spider mounts' Fang attacks, a 6 to hit deals a mortal wound (D3 with the Arachnarok Spider)
Heroes
- Grot Big Boss on Gigantic Spider: Nothing to say, since he haves a fixed weapon choice. Can reroll saves, and his command ability makes the Spider Venom ability of every SPIDERFANG unit within 8" trigger on a 5+.
- Spiderfang Grot Shaman on Arachnarok Spider: It's an Arachnarok Spider with 4 spear dudes/bowmen and a Shaman with a spell that allows every SPIDERFANG unit within 8" to double the wounds inflicted by Spider Venom.
Troops
- Grot Spider Riders: Amusingly, they can keep spears and bows at the same time. Like other Grot troops, the shields give a +1 to their Save only as long as the unit haves the minimum number of models it's required to have (in this case 5). Icon Bearer and Bone Drummer, as usual, give the unit respectively +2 Bravery as long as there are no enemies within 3" and +2 to runs.
- Arachnarok Spider: It's a big thing with a good dose of attacks, but even with the Spider Venom ability is not that good by himself.
- Arachnarok Spider with Spiderfang Grots: Now we are speaking. As said before with the Shaman variant, it gets a bunch of Grots giving him some shooting attacks and some extra melee attacks, and it can even get the Flinger to get one extra, bigger shooting attack.
