Conscript is a third party Pathfinder class that is essentially the Spheres of Might counterpart to Spheres of Power’s Incanter. Like Incanter, it lacks fixed class features and simply gets more sphere choices. In-fact, Conscript takes it a step further and its chassis can, to some extent, be customized via sphere picks.

Conscript is, likewise, a Tier 2 class at best, but so subject to a very low skill floor so customization options it could be in almost any tier. The floor is higher than Incanter though, since a full BAB class with two good saves, a d10 HD and likely at least one martial weapon is harder to render totally unplayable.

As with the Incanter, the Conscript becomes rather barebones as a base class, only gaining the extra attack, fighting style and Second Wind afforded to Fighters with little else in return aside from the excellent talent progression. They also get an incredible amount of subclasses to adapt.

  • Brawler is mostly focused on giving advantages against larger foes.
  • Fury provides the Barbarian's rage as well as a few extra perks.
  • Knave essentially turns the Conscript into a Rogue, sneak attack and all.
  • Marshal gains access to the Scout sphere as well as bonus damage against any scouted enemies. Also provides Ranger's favored enemies.
  • Mechanic provides boosts to both the Alchemy and Trap spheres.
  • Paragon gives a second fighting style as well as some party benefits.
  • Sentinel was originally its own class in PF, here providing the Challenge part of the Guardian sphere as well as reducing the damage taken from the delayed damage pool and proficiency on all saves.
  • Warrior is the most barebones subclass, giving the Barbarian's reckless attack ability as well as a third attack.
