The standard Paladin god, Heironeous the Arch-Paladin smites ALL the evil, especially anything related to his hated brother Hextor.

Dogma[edit | edit source]

The world is a dangerous place that poses a never-ending series of challenges to those who fight for justice and protection of the weak and innocent. One must act honorably at all times, and uphold the virtues of justice and chivalry in word and deed. Danger must be faced with certainty and calm, and glory is the reward for defeating evil, while virtue is the reward for upholding the tenets of Heironeous.

The Hieronean Code[edit | edit source]

As one would expect to a deity tied to a code-bound class like the Paladin, Heironeous has his own threefold code of conduct.

  • Duty to the People. Essentially enforces being fair and just towards the people, being faithful to the church, and obeying the law.
  • Duty to the Arch-paladin. Heironeous' devotees must serve him and serve the church. This duty also prioritizes matters of the church and faith over those concerns of mere mortals.
  • Duty to a Lady. The one espousing courtly romance and respecting women. I mean, you're practically a white knight.
