Orend Ymoro was a Space Marine active in the Unification Wars. He was the first Legion Master of the Second Legion.
Biography
Even among the first intake of aspirants for the Legiones Astartes, Orend was exceptional. He had been born into a wealthy family and displayed great intellectual prodigy, studying advanced texts even as a child. Although Hektor rejected him as being too scholarly for the First Legion's gene-seed, Orend found the often-difficult transformation into a Space Marine of the Second Legion relatively easy. He was a natural choice for command of the Second Squad of the Sacred Band. After performing admirably in the Pacification of the Merican Hives, Orend was appointed as Legion Master of the Legio Secundus and given the responsibility of building a great army to take to the stars. Though deeply hurt by the catastrophe at Dalvan, Orend never lost hope for his Legion. After the Selenar Gene-wrights completed their repairs he gratefully declared that Pallas Eugenesis could have anything she asked of Legio Secundus. Orend did not have the opportunity to make good on this pledge before his untimely death during the Mercurian incursion. He was succeeded as Legion Master by Napotiel Greybeard.
