The Real Roleplayer is an RPG player archetype commonly mentioned in any games master's instruction manual you care to find. These are defined as the players who really get invested in the game's roleplaying aspects, eating up the setting lore and striving to add as much detail to their character as possible.

Whilst these guys are often a lot of fun to game with, they can turn nasty as well, most commonly by either becoming a fluff-equivalent to the Rules Lawyer or by also being part Loonie and investing that "deep roleplaying drive" to hyper-irritating PC options, like a Kender, Xaositect or Malkavian.
