Three of Spades: 'Loss'
"Earl used bea family man, had a wife and two stunnin' daughters. He worked hard out in the valley mines an' was well liked by his ol' employ.
One day he goes ridin' into town, see, and gets all muddled up like with folk down in the tavern, playin' card games and such. He had a winnin'
streak and the other players got all mean and leaft the table, save the dealer. This dealer folk, real mysterious man, deals him up a hand and
Poor Ol' Earl draws up a card; a Gun. One those fancy-nancy ones, yeah. Well he got the Three o' Spades, devilled thing. He picked it up, and
forgot who he was. So he goes out ridin', yeah? An' the years go by an' one day Poor Earl comes a ridin' back to us. He got himself a fancy-nancy
suit and a white horse, Arabian by the looks of it. Anyway, he comes struttin' into the tavern lines up a shot on Mikey, a cow hand, and fires.
The shot was silent but the bullet that come out won't no bullet, it was this shiney blue fire that tore into Mikey killed him dead. Earl walked
over to the body and pinned a warrant to his coat and strutted right on out. Ain't seen him since." -TheLionHearted
