January 2017, GW decided that for once they'd pay attention to the oft-left behind Tzeentch. And they did so in the glorious event known as Tzaanuary, where they released Battletome: Disciples of Tzeentch, and fleshed out the Squid's own mortal followers, the Arcanites.

History[edit]

As Sigmar slowly began to claw back control of the mortal realms, cities began to re-emerge. And with cities, comes good old-fashioned politics, and all the deceit and backstabbing that comes with it. This was practically a "Come In" sign for Tzeentch, who sent out his minion The Changeling to seed Arcanite Cults throughout these cities. Scribes, librarians, scholars, sorcerers, politicians; all of these joined the Arcanites. So did the Tzaangors, who are basically Tzeentch Beastmen. With fell magics, these so-called nerds gained the ability to become absolutely ripped. Seriously, look at the Kairic Acolyte models. It's hilarious that followers of the God of Nerds have Khorne-tier abs.
