Zombie Apocalypse is a subgenre of the Post-Apocalyptic story that tends to revolve in equal parts around the mid-apocalypse and post-apocalypse parts of the world. As the name implies, the focus is on the world being ended by a massive outbreak of zombies, though similar "monster swarm" scenarios are often considered to be at least honorary parts of this genre, such as the Triffids.
